SSIS:Which logging mechanism is better SQl server or Text File -


ssis has different logging mechanism. bit confused logging mechanism should used. should use ssis log provider text file or should use ssis log provider sql server. give better performance? or there better mechanism logging?

your question presumes ssis logging either/or proposition. can use of different logging providers in same package. errors go text file, warning , information goes table , start/stop times yet provider, that's totally fine.

the choice of logging provider factor organization's existing support structure. if have tool centralizes windows event log items, you'd log there.

i've ever logged sql server i'd rather have single, consolidated source package history.

rewrite - Trouble with Wordpress multiple custom querystrings -
