iis - Enable 32-bit application preventing ASP.NET 2.0 app connecting to SQL server 2012 -


i'm migrating old asp.net 2.0 app client old 32-bit windows server 2003 / sql server 2000 machine new windows server 2012 / sql server 2012 machine.

i got loaded , working fine - website connects sql server , runs - except 1 of import functions using legacy microsoft jet engine 4.0 not working. after more research, have installed legacy office 2007 drivers, , needed set application pool enable 32-bit applications.

however, when set website run @ 32-bits, bugs out because unable connect 2012 database (the website loads fine, first function access database fails, , reflected in logs see). please note - have tested repeatedly , 32-bit setting issue. set false, connects sql server , whole website operates fine bar import procedure. set true (a prerequisite import procedure work), database connection fails , site inoperable.

unfortunately client not have ready access source code (it built such long time ago) - have website pages , binaries - , stop gap until new system developed.

rewrite - Trouble with Wordpress multiple custom querystrings -
