sql server 2012 - What happens when we click on SSMS 'New Query' button? -


when click on 'new query' button on sql server management studio creates new connection? if not how can create multiple connection using local ssms?

yes, new query creates new connection database. each query window maintains independent connection.

the connection number number shown in () brackets @ both end of tab name , in status bar (after user name)

shown circled in red - query window has connection number 57 it's respective server. sp_who2 executed in window show connection 57 active , running sp_who2.

rewrite - Trouble with Wordpress multiple custom querystrings -
