Unable to connect Teradata V14 using Teradata SQL Assistant from Windows 7 -


i installed teradata v14 vmware on windows 7 (64 bit) machine. installed .net provider, odbc driver (both 64bit , 32bit) on windows connect teradata using teradata sql assistant.

but when try connect teradata sql assistant error teradata server not accepting connections.

i tried ping windows vmware suse linux teradata installed. response. when connecting thru sql assistant unable to.

i defined data source , configurations mentioned in teradata forums. still couldnt connect.

pls help.

note : teradata working fine in vmware. able access in vmware using bteq, not windows using sql assistant.

i cannot problem, happened in contact developer of sql assistant on matter , passed link question him. unknown reason, not able register directly on stack overflow did send me response:

the message getting indicates teradata not running on system. system running database not started. makes no sense bteq can connect if getting error message sql assistant, @ same time. guess database came up, or went down, between tests.

as message says, teradata system not accepting connections. if happen logging onto same system teradata installed, perhaps why can connect bteq. there may teradata system setting needs enabled allows network connection.

your best bet contact local teradata administrator (whoever installed it).

rewrite - Trouble with Wordpress multiple custom querystrings -
