Filtered view of the data in one Google spreadsheet affecting the integrity of the data in dependent Google spreadsheets? -

good morning smart people,

i have spreadsheet "a" enters data, sheet edited, updated , maintained daily.

i have spreadsheets "b" "c" , "d" rely on spreadsheet "a" or part of data ( using query , importrange ).

if 'filter' or 'sort' temporarily applied spreadsheet "a" person editing sheet of dependent sheets receive filtered data view , breaks of sheets calculations , results !!

the filtering or sorting of data appears on data rather "local view" , therefore being "imported" dependent sheets .... there better way prevent "breaking dependent sheets ?

is possible continue import "raw" unfiltered data dependent sheets ?

i may have misunderstood trying here, i'm afraid have bad news.

for me (after doing experiment), filtering (assuming doing filter data menu filter option) not affect result of other sheets. if not case you, can please link demo spreadsheet can see actual problem?

on other hand sorting affect other sheets, since changes order of records (=rows) in table. don't know workaround tell filter sheet not respond sorting.
